What might be the specification of this highly expected development board? What changes will it bring to Industrial use of IoT?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Raspberry Pi is gaining recognition in Industry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Almost a year ago, in the beginning of 2019, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/about\/\">Raspberry Pi Foundation<\/a><\/strong> presented <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/modberry.techbase.eu\/compute-module-3\/new-modberry-options-with-raspberry-pi-compute-module-3\/\">Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+<\/a><\/strong>, a successor to previous <strong>CM3<\/strong> version of development board, aimed at businesses and industrial users. The Compute Module uses a standard DDR2 SODIMM (small outline dual in-line memory module) form factor. GPIO and other I\/O functions are routed through the 200 pins on the board.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.techbase.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/cm3plus-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+\" class=\"wp-image-702\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.techbase.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/cm3plus-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.techbase.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/cm3plus-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.techbase.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/cm3plus-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.techbase.eu\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/cm3plus.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><figcaption>Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Raspberry Pi <strong>Compute Module 4<\/strong> specification might look like<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iot-industrial-devices.com\/how-raspberry-pi-compute-module-4-bcm2711-might-help-iot-industrial-automation\/\">Broadcom BCM2711<\/a>, Quad core Cortex-A72 @ 1.5GHz<\/strong> will highly plausible replace previous Broadcom BCM2837B0, Cortex-A53 64-bit SoC @ 1.2GHz,<\/li><li><strong>1GB, 2GB <\/strong>or <strong>4GB LPDDR4-3200 SDRAM<\/strong> will become a standard options, instead of fixed 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM,<\/li><li>Current <strong>flash memory (eMMC) options: 8GB \/ 16GB \/ 32GB<\/strong> from <strong>CM3+<\/strong> will probably stay the same,<\/li><li><strong>H.265 (4kp60 decode), H264 (1080p60 decode, 1080p30 encode) <\/strong>might replace outdated H.264 (1080p30),<\/li><li>and <strong>OpenGL ES 3.0<\/strong> graphics will replace 1.1, 2.0 versions,<\/li><li>weight and factor will stay the same, to provide a possibility to upgrade current IoT applications of CM3 and CM3+  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iot-industrial-devices.com\/how-raspberry-pi-compute-module-4-bcm2711-might-help-iot-industrial-automation\/\">Lite 4<\/a><\/strong> version of Compute Module is to be expected too, without eMMC and probably limited SDRAM options.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TECHBASE&#8217;s ModBerry device with RPi Compute Module 3+ <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iot-industrial-devices.com\/new-modberry-options-with-raspberry-pi-compute-module-3\/\">Compute Module 3+<\/a><\/strong> options from <strong>Raspberry Pi<\/strong>, we upgraded our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iiot-shop.com\/product\/modberry-x\/\">ModBerry 500\/9500<\/a><\/strong> industrial computers.
