We proudly announce that ModBerry series <\/strong>devices now supports LoRa<\/strong> and NarrowBand IoT (<\/strong>NB-IoT) <\/b>modems via extension modules. The new interfaces allows the devices to fully integrate with new networks and systems.<\/p>\n

LoRa <\/b>– Low-Power Wide-Area Network<\/b> (LPWAN<\/b>) or Low-Power Network<\/b> (LPN<\/b>) is a type of wireless telecommunication<\/a>wide area network<\/a> designed to allow long range communications at a low bit rate<\/a> among things<\/a> (connected objects), such as sensors operated on a battery<\/a>. The low power<\/a>, low bit rate and intended use distinguish this type of network from a wireless WAN <\/a>that is designed to connect users or businesses, and carry more data, using more power.<\/p>\n

NarrowBand IoT<\/b> (<\/span>NB-IoT<\/b>) is a Low Power Wide Area Network (<\/span>LPWAN<\/a>) radio technology standard developed to enable a wide range of devices and services to be connected using cellular telecommunications bands. NB-IoT is a <\/span>narrowband<\/a>radio<\/a> technology designed for the <\/span>Internet of Things<\/a> (IoT) and is one of a range of Mobile IoT (MIoT) technologies standardized by the <\/span>3rd Generation Partnership Project<\/i> (<\/span>3GPP<\/a>). NB-IoT focuses specifically on indoor coverage, low cost, long battery life, and enabling a large number of connected devices.<\/span><\/p>\n
